Boat Cradle

I have a frame as top drawing, which fits under frame 5 (midway in cockpit). When I drop the boat off the trailer, I put a set of [2] chocks, say 4 x 2 x 12" on side, crossways, under the front section of the boat, usually just
forward of the centrecase slot. With the support at frame 5 the boat is

quite steady and one can get in & out as required, but a small box or milk crate may make it easier.
Ths is all you really need, side supports get in the way & are easily knocked off
One of my friends who does a lot of work on TS16's has made a dolly as the lower sketch.
The main frame would be of 3 x 2' on side, and around 10/12 ft long. There are 3 cross pieces of 3 x 2 on side.
On the front cross piece are supports cut & angled to fit under frame 2, about where the cabin starts.
At the back is another frame, as top sketch, which goes under frame 5.
The whole thing is set on 3 large castors, and so a boat can be easily moved about (into sunshine, or side to side)
He says it is easy to get in & out of the boat
The tops of the frames should have some carpet on them to ease chafing & scratching of paint, etc
It is important that the supports go exactly under the frames in the boat, so pressure is not put on the ply.

Hope this is a help
